Strange coincidence?

Here at the seminary, we are assigned roles as acolyte, leader, reader and antiphonarian.  The last two are for morning and evening prayer so those names may be unfamiliar.  As reader, we serve as the "lector" for a Mass reading one or more readings and sometimes the psalm if there is no cantor.

The people who assign these roles do not know our schedules or the important days in our lives. In fact, the man assigning roles this semester is not the same man as was assigning roles last semester.

The last time I was reader was 12/6, the three year anniversary of my wife Carmen's death.  The new schedule shows me as reader on 2/10, her birthday.  At the same time, I've had a song stuck in my head.  It is from Phantom of the Opera, "Think of Me"

Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me once in a while
Please promise me, you'll try
Then you'll find that once again you long
To take your heart back and be free
If you'll ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me

We never said our love was evergreen
Or as unchanging as the sea
But if you can still remember
Stop and think of me

I think somebody is trying to send me a message...
