Summer Assignment 2014

For those who have asked...
     Yes, I am alive.
No, my computer did not die.

I have had little to blog about and little time to blog as the school year ended.  Once the year did end, I was being a YoYo between my family in Maine and events regarding the Seminary in Weston.  I was back for a golf tournament, the ordination of the class of 2014 and a cookout for those same men. It was so busy (how busy was it?), that I even missed sending out an anniversary card to my brother-in-law and his wife.  That is SO unlike me.

I am now settling into my summer assignment at Holy Ghost parish in Whitman, MA.  This parish will be part of a new collaborative with St. Bridget in Abington, MA starting next week.  The pastor and I are residing in Whitman.  A senior priest resides in Abington.  Two more priests will be joining us next week, one in each rectory.

The rectory here in Whitman is a large building.  It is a bit of a maze to navigate, but I am getting the hang of it.   It was unoccupied as a residence for about 6 months.  While the staff offices were in use downstairs, the upstairs was unused.  So we are discovering the idiosyncrasies of the house, stocking the kitchen with food and trying to make it work.
